Firefox 3

STOP READING !! FIREFOX 3 has just been released !!!! Hurry hurry, go download firefox immideately.

The development of Firefox 3 has been started a while ago.
A post from President of Products Christopher Beard suggests a release in November 2007. The largest known change for Firefox 3 will be the implementation of Gecko 1.9. Firefox 3 will include features that were bumped from Firefox 2, such as the overhauled Places system for storing bookmarks and history in an SQLite backend.

There is also advanced ongoing work focused on further implementation of features from WHATWG specification. In particular, support for the controversial "ping" attribute in HTML elements is implemented and enabled by default. The purpose of this additional attribute is tracking clicking on links. The development team is asking users to submit feature requests that they wish to be included in Firefox 3.

Anti-Malware

improved Firefox protects you from viruses, worms, trojan horses and spyware. If you accidentally access an attack site, it will warn you away from the site and tell you why it isn’t safe to use. Firefox checks every part of a Web page before loading it to make sure nothing harmful is sneaking in the back door.

Anti-Phishing

Shop and do business safely on the Internet. Firefox gets a fresh update of web forgery sites 48 times in a day, so if you try to visit a fraudulent site that’s pretending to be a site you trust (like your bank), a browser message—big as life—will stop you.
